The Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM), University of Sierra Leone, today officially launched a major infrastructure development project with a Turning of the Sod Ceremony held at the IPAM Main Campus, Tower Hill, Freetown.
The ceremony was led by the Deputy Vice Chancellor of IPAM, together with members of the academic and administrative staff, marking the official commencement of the construction of new lecture halls and office spaces.
The project is aimed at expanding the University's physical infrastructure to meet the growing demand for quality teaching, learning, research, and administrative services. Once completed, the new facilities are expected to provide a more conducive environment for students, lecturers, researchers, and support staff.
Speaking during the ceremony, university officials described the initiative as a significant milestone in IPAM's continued commitment to academic excellence and institutional growth. The expansion reflects the institution's vision of enhancing its educational capacity while providing modern facilities that support innovation and effective service delivery.
The event concluded with a renewed commitment from the University community to advance the institution's development agenda under the theme: "Building Today for a Better Tomorrow."
